Engineering Technician

SRAM | San Luis Obispo, CA

Work directly with Design Engineering to manufacture and produce 3D prints on bike components. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; testing and assessing bike components, reverse engineering and addressing issues, providing feedback on functionality all with an aim for improving operating procedures and elevating SRAM product performance.

Testing Manager - World Wide

Lezyne | San Luis Obispo, CA

My main functions include, but are not limited to, executing tests on Lezyne products, prototypes and/or competitive products to evaluate their performance, reliability and safety attributes. Using statistical tools to analyze data, produce test reports and communicate results to internal stakeholders. Apply existing tests to satisfy the needs of engineering, quality, manufacturing, and marketing. Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities. Lead all training required for associate Testing Technicians.

  • Analyze and track data (engineering/customer interface)

  • Test functionality of products - Troubleshoot and repair products that fail testing

  • Collect quality and technical data and communicate quality problems to appropriate production team(s) when necessary

  • Participate in theory training of new products and problem solving both domestically and with our international engineering teams

  • Operate and maintain lab equipment, per standard procedures

 

2012-2015

Warranty Manager & Liaison - World Wide

Lezyne | San Luis Obispo, CA

I expanded the Lezyne Customer Service department and founded the Warranties Department. Responsibilities included being the primary point of contact for customer service inquiries with our diverse worldwide consumer market. This network included being responsive to customers, distributors, management, and colleagues. In tandem, this included, working with worldwide distributors and customers for Lezyne warranty solutions. In all cases, I worked quickly and efficiently to find solutions that benefited both the customer and Lezyne. Additional duties included developing a database, data entry and oversight, reporting, inventory tracking and management.

  • Document, validate, and resolve warrant claims, and communicate with customers.

  • Answer phones and resolve customer concerns.

  • Process warranty enrollments, educate customers about usage, and answer questions.

  • Create reports on customer interactions, warranty claims, and related statistics.

  • Analyze root causes of warranty claims and identify methods to reduce claims.

Clif Bar - Luna Chix Pro Team, Team Mechanic

Clif Bar | International

World Cup Team Mechanic of the Clif Bar’s, Women’s World Cup Luna Chix Pro Team for cyclocross and mountain bike racing internationally. This work assured the Multinational Champion and World Cup Champion Titles, plus Cross Country World Championship Title of 2011.

  • Built and maintained bicycles at World Cup level of competition

  • Organized and managed inventory on team products, materials, and equipment

  • Ensured timely transport of all equipment to and from races in team vehicles

  • Organized and constructed team pit area and displays at all race venues - domestically and internationally

  • Worked with promoters to ensure sponsors received highest foot traffic in venue

  • Communicated with sponsors to provide feedback of their individual products

  • Assisted professional riders with proper fit of bicycles for maximum performance

 

2007-2009

 

Test Technician

SRAM | San Luis Obispo, CA

As a Test Technician at SRAM, I performed assembly, integration and final testing of components, subassemblies and systems. This position uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data, which is used to conduct adjustments to products or equipment. I worked with team members to develop methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process and worked with engineers to conduct experiments.

  • Worked with engineering staff to accurately test bicycle components

  • Used Excel to organize and present accurate data for engineering staff

  • Built prototype components to engineering specifications

  • Collaborated with other technicians and machinists to problem solve and accomplish testing goals and meet product development deadlines

Coordinator & Heavy Machinery Equipment Operator - Project Basis

Reichard Excavating | San Luis Obispo County, CA

On a project by project basis, I am called upon to coordinate and execute excavating projects from large to small in tandem with the site supervisor and excavating team(s).

  • Ensured secure transportation and delivery of equipment, tools and site materials

  • Operated heavy machinery, including but not limited to; tractors, water tankers, etc.

  • On-site hand, understanding of construction practices and processes
